National Family Mediation Week 2022

The purpose of Family Mediation Week is to raise awareness of family mediation and how it can help separating families. My intention with this blog is to help you to understand more about mediation, answer questions you may have and to let you know more about working with me.

Wow, a year has passed since I launched this blog and another Family Mediation Week is with us. Once again, it has been a challenging year for many as we continue to live through a pandemic. Families facing a relationship breakdown in that time have found it particularly hard.

During Family Mediation Week the Family Mediation Council (FMC) will be presenting webinars, publishing resources and information as well as providing their own blogs. I have already registered to attend some of the webinars which are being put on during the week. As you will have seen from earlier blogs, it is important to me to work with other professionals to learn more about what they can offer separating couples. 2021 was a tough year for many people and trying mediation while living through the pandemic was difficult for many couples. I noticed that for many couples in mediation during 2021 that they found it hard but they worked through it to come up with solutions between them. I’ve already noticed that for those couples who have begun mediation in the last few weeks that they seem better placed to take part in mediation as there are a few less pressures on us than this time last year.

Mediation is not an easy option but it has so many benefits for your family. If you are in the situation where your relationship has broken down, do consider the option of mediation to help you move forward and use the resources available during Family Mediation Week to find out more. Contact me if you would like to have a no obligation chat about mediation.
